Bird Waching Villuercas

The Appalachian landscape in “Las Villuercas” is an exceptional area for birdwatching. We are located in the World Unesco “Villuercas, Ibores, Jara” Geopark, a collection of unique geological heritage. The “Las Villuercas” mountain range can be found in the southeastern section of Cáceres province in Spain, between the rivers Tagus and Guadiana, which highest point is the “Las Villuercas” peak (1601m). We are a part of a Special Protection Area for wild birds, bordering Monfragüe National Park to the north, and the irrigation fields of Badajoz to the south, where an abundance of shorebirds, crane roosts, bustards or rollers can be spotted.

We own several hides for birdwatching, made of wood with a one-way mirror, with backgrounds and perches selected so that the pictures turn out flawless.
